Hi, I am trying to connect SAP HANA form PowerBI Desktop. Here we need ODBC driver to install in Machine. PowerBi jsut added below link. Hi there, I'm brand new to the SAP world and don't know very much about it. We're trying to intall the HANA 64 bit client as we would like to query HANA views using ODBC.

We are migrating our SAP BW instance from MSSQL to HANA DB and have the requirement to use SSIS out of system. Using SSDT(VS2010), I get a variety of errors when trying to read data from HANA. I have he drivers installed and can connect and query the data in a small C# app I wrote (will post that code below as well).

First error:Using the .Net Provider for ODBC conncections

Second Error: Using straight ODBC connection

I get the following errors:

I don't even see the option for the 32bit DSN. Only the 64bit DSN shows and when user and pass is entered it throws an exception.

The root cause for this was a bad registry entry on the 32bit driver for HANA ODBC. The correct entries should look like this:
