So, if you're here that must mean you'd love to have Homer (or any other available character) himself giving you directions to your daily adventures!

And here's what you need: A Garmin GPS (some older models may not work, I couldn't find much info on this)

A PC

Voice files ( something something .VPM)

First, to explain how things work: Garmin uses VPM files to provide the commands, they are the actual voices you hear.

Some VPM files are locked (when you needed to purchase them), nowadays Garmin Voices have been discontinued, so I really don't know if it's illegal to share them.

To unlock the files and allow your GPS to play them, you need a UNL file.

A UNL file is simply a notepad file with a number (your key) and you save it as .UNL instead of .txt.

Now, you know how everything works, let's get cooking!

First download all the programs you need and connect your GPS to your PC.

Then, on the file explorer, open your GPS and look for a folder named 'Garmin', inside should have a file named 'Garmin.xml' in that file (which can be viewed on the internet or notepad) you can find your product ID, copy it.

Open jetmouse, place your unit ID on the Unit iD box and scroll down to select map product, click on it and go all the way to custom map, that will open another window with the following boxes:

FID, PID, RGNID and VENID

for Homer's voice, you should use these settings (also check the little box to allow editing on PID) (other voices uses different settings)

FID: 480 PID: 25 RGNID: 0 VENID: 0

Click the second generate code button (the one at the bottom)

That should generate your UNL code.

Open a new file on notepad and copy that code, nothing else.

Save it as a .unl file (check if it's not saved as .unl.txt by clicking to show extensions)(also, save it with the exact name as the VPM file)

Okay, almost over :D

Copy both the UNL and VPM to your garmin device, on the folder 'Voices'.

If everything was done correctly it should show up in the voices tab at settings inside your GPS :)

If it did not show up, most likely it was an issue with your UNL code, do it again, check everything and try again, try other voices, if nothing works, your GPS might not support it.

Adding Vehicles:

This is pretty much straight-forward, just copy the file into your GPS' Vehicles folder :)

(I went to download the Keygen from Google drive and it said the file had a virus, my computer did not detect anything wrong with it, but just to be sure).
