Hi, problem exists absolutely independently of USB-port, SD-Card, Card-Reader! It is a pure dependence of Operating system: Windows XP SP3 is working, but Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows Vista SP2 are not! I cannot get my computer to recognize SDHC (4gb) media cards (tried using two different readers, both of which work on a different PC.) after reformatting hard drive and reinstall of Windows XP that I fully updated to SP3 before trying to use media card (this compter and reader could read the SDHC cards before). I recently purchased a Toshiba R500 notebook which has a SD card reader built-in. I was unable to get my SDHC cards to work in it until I ran the XP SP3 upgrade on my Notebook. Apparently it has all of the new drivers included in the fix. Now the card reader works with all my cards including my 8gb microSDHC with SD adapter.

I am always suspicious of free downloads but this was a treat to use. My new netbook is a MSI Wind U100 and the card reader just didnt work. When I saw this download I thought nothing in life is that simple But it was.
